Who are we?

We are a diverse group of ordinary people of all ages, who seek to grow in our relationship with Jesus, who try to follow Christ’s teaching and example in the whole of our lives, within and beyond our local communities, and who worship God in a variety of styles at our three Church of England Churches:

  • The Church of St Giles and All Saints in Orsett
  • The Church of St Mary the Virgin in Bulphan
  • The Church of St Peter and St Paul in Horndon on the Hill

Each of our churches has at least one service every Sunday on a rotation basis.                              On the second, third, fourth and fifth Sunday of each month, there is a Holy Communion at 8.45am followed by Family Service at 10am in the same church.                                                      On the first Sunday of the month we have an “All Together” Holy Communion at 10am in each church in the Parish on rotation.

We offer Holy Communion services on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month              Second Tuesday : Bulphan at 7.30pm and                                                                                            Fourth Tuesday : Horndon on the Hill at 9.15am

FOREST CHURCH – On the first Saturday of each month we have Forest Church at 4pm which alternate between Bulphan and Orsett.  This is (weather permitting) an outdoor service with songs and activities, primarily but not exclusively for younger people.  Not much deters us from experiencing the outdoors weather wise, so wellies, boots and warm hats , gloves and coats are the order of the day.

We also have services outside of this at Christmas, Easter and Lent.

Check our services page to see what is going on when and check the weekly notices which give more information as to current activities.

Around the Parish, we have a variety of activities and events for people of all ages.

We would love to meet you.
