Prayer Group

All are welcome, whatever your style of prayer! Come and join in, as you feel comfortable, or just listen.

We meet every Tuesday at 8pm to pray in a variety of different styles at different venues, including the Church of St Peter and St Paul, The Swan Pub or The Woolmarket In Horndon and sometimes we go for prayer walks or prayer drives or meet in each other’s homes. Tea and cake or cheese and biscuits are often a feature of our meetings! Once a month we like to have a meal together starting at 7pm, followed by prayer from 8pm till 9pm.

We offer to God both our thanks and our needs and concerns using different styles of prater and we seek to grow in faith by reading the Bible or looking at art work and allowing God to speak to us .

Please note that confidentiality is shared within the group.

Horndon Prayer, Sep-Dec 2018

Time: Normal meeting time is 8pm until 9pm. Where we are meeting for a fellowship meal before prayer, these will start at 7pm. Please try and let Phil and Lisa Anderson know, on 01375 643709, the weekend before, if you are coming to eat with us, as it helps the cooks to know numbers.

Thank you to everyone who has offered to host prayer. We are always keen to find different venues – would you like to host prayer or a meal in your home?

Leading: We would love different people to lead us in our times of prayer. It doesn’t have to be complicated and we can provide you with ideas or resources. Please let Phil, Lisa or Max know if you would like to lead an evening.
